Bluffton High School SIC Report to the Parents
As the 2008-09 school year comes to a close we have been preparing for next year. Recruitment of upcoming freshman and preparations for Summer institute training for our AVID Teachers are underway. Each year the School Improvement Council submits a "State of Our School" newsletter to the parents and those should be mailed out any day now. I hope you will read through the SIC report but make sure to check out the AVID section.
Have a Safe and Happy Summer and we look forward to an AVIDly awesome school year next year.

The Role of AVID Parents
The involvement of parents is a priority in AVID. Parents are informed about program events and expectations through newsletters and parent meetings. Parent groups often become active in planning programs and fund-raising.
Parents sign a contract agreeing to support all AVID academic requirements; encourage and support their children’s academic success; and, attend AVID parent meetings.
